She loved God, her family, thrift store shopping, Jeopardy, doing crossword puzzles in ink even though life didn’t allow her to go beyond elementary school as a child, donating time and money to the women’s group at her church, and collecting pictures of those she loved. She was married to Marvin Black, Sr. for nearly 66 years. She had four children by birth, six grandchildren by birth and by love, and four great-grandchildren by birth and by love. She had a green thumb, could get any kind of stain out of any kind of material, was a loyal Chrysler/Dodge driver, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Psalm 18:1-3
I love you, Lord, my strength.
The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;
my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge,
my shield[b] and the horn[c] of my salvation, my stronghold.
I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise,
and I have been saved from my enemies.
