Richard George Wilson

Richard G. Wilson, 93 years old, of Stockton, California, died on April 8, 2026, subsequent to a lengthy struggle with health issues precipitated by a stroke. Preceded in death by his parents and brothers (Steven & Ronny), he is survived by his brother, Donny (Sylvia) of Yakima WA, daughters Deborah (John) of Peshastin WA and Anna of Stockton CA, eight grandchildren and numerous greatgrandchildren.
Richard was born on August 19th, 1932 to Dewey and Clara Wilson, at home, on the family apple ranch. He developed a strong work ethic from a young age, working in the orchards and berry fields before and after school. After graduating from high school, Richard was inducted into the Air Force during the Korean War and trained in electronics. It was during a furlough in New York City that he met Loisjeanne, his future wife, and they had three daughters: Christine (deceased), Deborah, and Anna Marie. Richard worked briefly on the family apple ranch and at Boeing Company before moving his family to the San Francisco Bay Area for a career in electronics with Lockheed.   In 1964 he started working for Stanford University to help develop the Stanford Linear Accelerator (SLAC) where he spent several decades before his retirement. He was an avid craftsman who built his own cabin cruiser in his garage besides several pieces of furniture. At home he could always be found in his electronics workshop, working on numerous electronic components of various items but mainly tv's. Later his work transitioned to mainly stereo equipment.
Always a self-starter, Richard realized the importance of a diploma and earned his BS in engineering at night from San Jose State while teaching microwave engineering at San Jose City College on off nights to help pay for his tuition. Upon retirement, Richard was free to continue activities as a passionate and avid fisherman and outdoorsman. His daughter, Deborah, recalls often finding her dad working feverishly on his newest fishing fly when asked to call him in to dinner. He was proud of his success in and many asked for his flies at Diamond Lake, OR and Eagle Lake, CA.  Richard was definitely a "jack of all trades" as he was also a real-estate flipper.
His daughters desire for him to rest in peace, yet they picture him contentedly fishing, taking in the majesty of his mountains, with his words carried on the wind, imparting his wisdom on how the world should be.
