Norman LaRon Haddix, Sr.

Sunrise: May 24, 1967 – Sunset: November 18, 2025

With profound sorrow and deep love, our family announces the passing of our beloved brother, father, son, uncle, cousin, and friend, Norman L. Haddix, Sr., who entered eternal rest on November 18, 2025. His life was a testament to service, loyalty, humor, and unwavering devotion to the people he loved.

Born with a servant’s heart, Norman proudly served in the United States Navy, embodying honor, courage, and commitment. After his military service, he continued to pour his strength and compassion into the world, driving an ambulance for many years on behalf of the state of California, responding to emergencies with bravery, skill, and genuine care for every life he encountered.

Ever the scholar and achiever, he attended Colorado Technical University, where he pursued a bachelor’s degree in business administration and earned a place on the President’s List with an impressive 4.0 GPA. His dedication to excellence inspired everyone who knew him.

A God-fearing, hardworking, and loving family man, Norman enjoyed the simple joys that made life beautiful—laughter, good food, time with family and friends, and the serenity of the beach, where he found peace and joy. His humor, wit, and warmth made him unforgettable. His presence filled every room, and his love covered every person tied to his heart.

He is greatly missed and forever cherished.

Norman is preceded in death by:

His paternal grandparents Joe O. Jones and Nellie (Smith) Jones of Paris, Kentucky; maternal grandparents Herschel E. Daugherty and Catherine (Morton) Daugherty of Lexington, Kentucky; his father Norman J. Jones; Cousin Rodney D. Haddix, Sr.; niece Iesha Edwards; his sister Phyllis Renee Lee; brother James E. Emerson; and nephew Edwin Preeon Haddix.

He is survived by:

His devoted mother Juanita Haddix; stepfather Robert Bybee; Uncle Carl M. (Carolyn) Haddix; his loving siblings Yvonne (Derrick) Guy, Adora (Freddie) Parks, Toyia (James) Caise, Robin (Steven) Washington, and Norm (Paula) Jones.

His legacy continues through his children: Jessica Haddix, Camille Haddix, Norman Haddix Jr., Zackery Deering-Haddix, and Cameron Haddix; and his precious grandsons, Noah and Noland Haddix.

He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews:

Eric Emerson, DeLewis Parks, Erika Parks, Jayson Perryman, Caleb Jones, Aleah Jones, Derricka Guy, DaVonna Guy, Ronesha James, JaRon James, Scott Bybee, Taneisha (Tony) Duerson, Jamica Lee, Brianna Lee, as well as several cousins and a host of friends who loved him deeply.

Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice in knowing that he is resting in the arms of God—free, whole, and surrounded by the love of those who went before him. His memory will forever live on in the stories we share, the laughter he gave us, and the love he poured into our lives.
