Miesha Matthews Obituary

Miesha Annette Matthews of Stockton, Ca. passed away at the age of 38 on Thursday, June 25, 2020.

She was born on January 25, 1982 in Reno, Nevada, the daughter of Lorrie Walker, and Calvin and kelly Matthews

Miesha, was a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, mother and friend.  Miesha was a freespirit, and she accepted everyone for who they were. She loved life and having a good time.  And she loved her children very much.  Some people didn't agree in the carefree manner in which she raised her children. First and foremost, her mother.  As it turns out, she was preparing her children's for her departure the whole time.  Her children are so mature they have what the old folks use to call old folks sense.  It's Just amazing how mature they are.  I Can't get over it.  I am so proud of them.  They make me stronger. I can only imagine what the world has in store for them. As their grandmother,  I pray that they inspire to be God, fearing good people, and  that the Lord will bless them with wonderful lives.

Miesha is preceded in death by her baby sister Cameron Mart’e Stroughter; uncle Scott Allen  Flesher, grandmother Josephine Coleman, grandfather Calvin Matthews Sr.

Miesha is survived by her loving children, Kamieya Smith, Lamesha Matthews, Charlie Dillingham, Antonette Speed, Mi’suan Troy, and Antonee Matthews, mother Lorrie Walker; father and stepmother, Calvin Jr. and kelly Matthews; stepfather Edward Sr.; siblings Arlen Colbert, Edwauna and Marcus Dorsey, Edward Stoughter Jr. and Catherine Stroughter, grandmother; Mary Flesher; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She will be missed by all who loved and adored her.

P.S.:  Please  accept my deepest apology for being late with Miesha’s home going celebration.  Please be patient with me.  I am hopeful that your love for Miesha, will cause you to be patient.  I look forward to celebrating Miesha’ s  life with you. There will be music, food, refreshments, and lots of love.  I will announce the details via Miesha's facebook page soon.  God bless!

I CAN'T BELIEVE

I can't believe you've gone so far away from me.  You're gone and all I have left are memories, some good, some bad, some happy, some sad.  I'm going to miss you with all of my heart.  It's been said that the greatest pain known to man, is a woman losing a child.  It feels like a part of me has died.  It left an emptiness of some sort that I can't explain.  I can't believe you've gone away.  I try not to feel sorry for myself, after all I'm not the first woman to lose a child, and I won't be the last. Still I have the victory.  My last words to you were I love you, and you said you loved me back, no greater departcher, most never even get the chance.  Although you were only here for a short time, you lived more in that short time than some who lived twice as long.  You left a lifetime of memories and a slew of offsprings, through them you will live on and on and on and on…

Mommy’S going to miss you MeMe!     Rest in peace  baby!
