Lavonnie Gaiter was born into the union of Donald and Mary Gaiter in Oakland, CA . She attended Fremont High school and then later furthered her education at Grant school in Oakland . In her youth Vonnie enjoyed playing intramural basket ball and tennis . Her family affectionately recalls Vonnie’s ability to liven up any event on any day of the week . Being around Vonnie felt like you were always at a party because she was always singing ,dancing and laughing. She was great at making moments that were unforgettable with both her family and friends near and far . In 2015 Vonnie began attending church at Providence AME Church and later became a member . She professed a profound belief in Christ Jesus and accepted him as her Lord and Savior . God blessed Vonnie throughout her entire life and gave her strength. Our sister was called to her spiritual home on the morning of 6-20-2024 to go rest with the members of her family who had preceded her in death . She will be forever loved and missed by her sisters ,Latosha Craig and Lakeisha Williams , brothers Clarence Cherry and Minister Aaron Mackey, Aunts Lennie, Marcella , Joanie , Donna Jean and Diane as well as a numerous amount of nieces and nephews of her own among other family members . The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers
