Dewey Paul George

The passing of Dewey George is announced with deep sorrow. He passed away on July 31,2025 at the age of 80. He died peacefully at home surrounded by his family.

Dewey was known for his kind heart, unwavering integrity and willingness to give to his friends and community. He dedicated his life to his family and passions.

He leaves a legacy of love, kindness, and hard work. Dewey is survived by his wife, Kelly; his children, William, Jackie (Eric), Zeb (Stephanie) and Carl (Rebecca); and his 5 grandchildren(Tyler, Savannah, Alexa, Hank and Hudson) and 4 Great Grandchildren (Tarver, Tazz, Easton and Khayali) . 

Although Dewey graduated with a degree in Oceanography, he fell in love with farming and spent his life as a farmer and business owner.  He served on the Boards of the Stockton East Water District and FHA, as a volunteer fireman in Linden and Clements, and countless years as a golf and track coach.  He also served as a leader in his Church and volunteered with youth through 4-H and as a Scout Leader.  Dewey was always giving back any chance he could and led by example and hard work. He was a mentor to many and a pillar of support for his community and family. His legacy lives on through his family, his work, and the many lives he touched.

Dewey was a devoted father, a dedicated farmer and business owner, an accomplished private pilot and an avid golfer and cherished spending time with his family and friends. His passion for golf brought joy to his life, and he loved sharing this enthusiasm with those around him. His love for the sport took him to courses around the world where he met many friends.

Dad always had a story to tell and a smile on his face.  His hard work and dedication to his family and friends will be missed.

All are invited to attend a Celebration of Life to be held on August 24 from 10-2 at 28892 Lemon Ave, Escalon, CA 95320. The family requests donations be made to a local Junior Golf Program in Dewey's memory or just go hit a bucket of balls with your kids, in lieu of flowers.  Dad would’ve loved that.
