Kathleen Muslemi Obituary


Kathleen Ann Defoort Muslemi of Ceres, California passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, November 24, 2019 at Golden Haven Care Facility where she lived the past three years. She was born to the late George Joseph Defoort and Naomi Ernestine Naylor on September 23, 1944 in Omaha , Nebraska. In 2010, Kathleen diagnosed with dementia; with the help from family, she was able to live in her home until 2016. 
Kathleen attended Las Lomas High School in Walnut Creek California. She spent most of her life in California where she raised her four sons. She worked throughout her life at various places, and retired in 2009 from medical billing in Modesto, California.
Kathleen lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures that included attending church every Sunday, weekly bible study, country dancing, music, enjoying Ice cream, and her favorite TV programs. She was very active and loved spending time with family and friends.
Kathleen is survived by her sons, Earl Allen Pollock III, (wife, Cherie Pollock), Darren Wayne Pollock, (wife, Julie Pollock), Kevin Edward Pollock, (partner, Art McElroy) and Justin Muslemi, (wife, Andrea Muslemi), brother, Harvey Maaske, sister Ester Smith and her six grandchildren, Ethan Pollock, Tyler Pollock, Darren Pollock Jr, Macie Pollock, Zedekai Muslemi and Azakai Muslemi. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Preceded in death by her Mother Naomi Naylor, Father George Defoort, brother’s Jack Defoort and George Defoort, sister’s Yvonne Young and Pam Bass, Daughter-in-law, Tami Pollock, and grandson Azariah Muslemi. She will be deeply missed by family, friends and all who knew her.
Memorial service will be conducted at 12:00 PM Friday, January 3, 2020 at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Concord, California. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to ALZ.org (Donate to a walker) Team “Golden Haven Marigold”
The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her last illness at Golden Haven Assisted Living Facility in Stockton, Dr. Ramirez, and Vitas Healthcare.
