Carol Lovergene Jacobson

On Sunday, October 6, 2019, Carol Lovergene Jacobson, loving mother, grandmother
and great-grandmother, passed away at the age of 72.
Carol was born on November 29, 1946 in Lansing, MI. On February 24, 1963 she
married Sven Norman Jacobson. Together they raised 6 children, Evelyn, Sven, John,
Shelly, Stephen and Carol.
Carol spent her life ….. Caring for her husband and children. Raising her children
sometime alone while Sven served in the Navy for 20 years. She worked in many
management roles, first in the gas station/mini mart industry and then moving into
Apartment management. She was a happy, talkative person who could talk to anyone
about anything. This is how she built relationships with everyone she came in contact
with. In her retirement she traveled back and forth across the country and up and down
the State of California to visit and stay connected with all six of her children and to see
all her grandchildren having their children, her great-grandchildren, come into the family.
Her newest additions (twins) were just born on Sept. 24, 2019. She was happy and
loved her family very much, but she truly missed her one true love Sven. She was ready
to be with him again.
Carol was preceded in death by her beloved husband Sven after 47 years of marriage
and her older sister Paula. She is survived by her sisters Sharon and Linda, her six
children Evelyn (Steve), Sven (Lori), John (Tina), Shelly (James), Stephen (Lisa) and
Carol (Joe). She has 20 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren, plus one on the way,
who also love her and will miss her dearly.
Her life will be celebrated by her family on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at the
Japanese Garden in Micke Grove Park at Noon. Donations may be made to the
